Woke up this morning and every single one of my tomato plants was chewed down to nothing, same with my green beans. Deer are just bold as anything this year. Anybody have a repellent that actually works?

Get a big bag of hair clippings from the barber shop downtown, spread it around the edge of the garden. Sounds silly but it worked for us last summer.

Beckman's Hardware carries a roll fencing that's actually tall enough to keep them out, we finally caved and put it up around the whole back bed. Worth it.

the deer up in the North End are basically pets at this point, one of them just stands in my yard staring at me like i owe it something

In my day we didn't have this problem quite so bad, but there's also a lot more of them now than there used to be, that's for sure. Fencing is your best bet, the sprays wash off after one good rain.
